This specialization was initiated in the year of 2000, since 2001 training by correspondence has existed.

The students are trained to be ready at any time, under any conditions to render appropriate assistance to passengers and crewmembers in emergency. It is obvious that specialists of this profession shall have specific knowledge and skills, be able to take correct decision and undertake quick and correct actions when there is little or no time to think.

That is why besides the subjects specified for any technical university the following subjects are included into curriculum: Fire works, Para dropping, Mountain rescue, and Sea rescue.

The education is crowned with the graduates' state approval, which comprises final exam and scientific project.

The graduates of this speciality are granted Search-and-Rescue License Class 1-3 and diploma of higher education.
