The programme of the first and the second years does not differ much from any technical university one. The students study science and humanitarian subjects, economy and mathematics, and special subjects in general.

During the third year the students begin to study special subjects to get prepared for Yak-18T basic aircraft training flights.

Simulator training is carried out simultaneously with theoretical training. On successful completion of the theoretical course the students are transferred to the flight line to continue with training flights on Yak-18T.

During the fourth year the students go on studying special subjects to get prepared for training flights on
YAK-40 or AN-26 release aircraft. The up-dated simulators of these aircraft are available in the simulator complex; they are specially designed for the students training. The procedural navigation simulators are widely used. On successful completion of the fourth year the students are transferred to flight line to continue with training flights on the release aircraft.

The fifth year is devoted to the students training as airline transport pilots. The education is crowned with the graduates' state approval, which comprises flying technique exam, complex final theoretical exam and scientific project.

The graduates are granted diplomas of state approval and airline transport pilot license, which enables them to continue with any aircraft transition course.
